About this Episode

Passage:
1 We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near.
We recount your wondrous deeds.

2 “At the set time that I appoint
I will judge with equity.
3 When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants,
it is I who keep steady its pillars.
4 I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn;
5 do not lift up your horn on high,
or speak with haughty neck.’”

(Psalm 75:1–5 ESV)

Song:
Psalm 75 by Poor Bishop Hooper

Lyrics:
We give thanks, God
We give thanks for Your name is near
We give thanks, God
We give thanks for Your name is near

As men tell of
All Your wonderful works
As men tell of
All Your wonderful, wonderful works

At the set time that I appoint
I will come and judge with equity
When the Earth totters and the people shake
It is I who keep its pillars steady
Oh, it is I who keep its pillars steady

Not from the east or from the west
Not from the wilderness comes lifting up
But it is God who is tho only judgе
Putting down one and lifting up another
Not from the еast or from the west
Not from the wilderness comes lifting up
But it is God who is tho only judge
Putting down one and lifting up another
For in His hand there is a cup
And full of wine and spices foaming up
And it is well-mixed and when He pours this
Surely the wicked will drink

But as for me
I will declare it
I will sing praise
Praise to the God of Jacob
As for me
I will declare it
I will sing praise
Praise to the God of Jacob
As for me
I will declare it
I will sing praise
Praise to the God of Jacob
As for me
I will declare it
I will sing praise
Praise to the God of Jacob

Prayer:
With what shall we come before you, O Lord? Or bow ourselves in your presence, O you Most High God? Cause us to come unto you in faith: mentioning no other name, pleading no other righteousness, and trusting in no other atonement than the name, righteousness, and atonement of your blessed Son and our… Mediator Jesus Christ. In him, we desire to be found; through him, we hope for favor with you, and acceptance in your sight. Blessed be your goodness for the mercies of the day, for the blessings of your providence, the comforts of your Spirit, and the privileges we enjoy. Amen.
