About this Episode

Opening Song:
Psalm 145 by Brian Eichelberger and Dustin Kensrue

Lyrics:
I will bless You all of my days Lord
I will praise You always my God and King
I will bless and honor Your name Lord
Always and forever my soul will sing

Such a vast unsearchable greatness
Great is Yahweh worthy of all our praise
Let your people sound through the ages
All your awesome works till the end of days

We have seen your splendor and glory
We have seen your wonders and stand amazed
Every tongue will echo your story
Everyone will sing of your righteous ways

Oh let all that lives ever bless His name

All that you have made Lord will praise you
All your saints will worship in joyful strains
Praise the Lord who ransoms and rescues
Praise the God of glory who ever reigns

He is holy judging the wicked
Guarding those that love him and fear his name
All that call out Yahweh is with them
He will hear their cries He is strong to save

He upholds the one who is stumbling
Lifting up those burdened with heavy loads
Opening his hands to the hungry
Blessing all that look to their Lord in hope

He is tender toward his creation
He is faithful and gracious in all he does
Great is Yahweh full with compassion
Slow to anger filled with unfailing love

Oh let all that live ever bless His name
Oh let all that live ever bless His name

Passage:
1 I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless you
and praise your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable.

4 One generation shall commend your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
6 They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds,
and I will declare your greatness.
7 They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness
and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

8 The LORD is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 The LORD is good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made.
(Psalm 145:1–9 ESV)

Musical Reflection:
“Amazing Grace,” Appalachian folk tune

Reflection Notes:
This beloved tune, formally known as NEW BRITAIN, originates from the folk music of Appalachia. The melody is simple and outlines triads, making it memorable; the ascending line creates a triumphant climax.

Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
